Electricity
Electricity is one of the most convenient and widely used form of energy in in the today’s world.
Electric charge
An Electric Charge is a physical entity which is defined by excess or deficiency of electrons on a body. The SI unit of electric charge is coulomb.
Quantization of Charge
The total charge acquired by body is an integral multiple of magnitude of charge on a single electron. This principal is called quantization of charge.
Electric Current
electric current is defined as the rate of flow of electric charge through any cross section of a conductor in unit time. Electric current is equal to equal to charge by time. The SI unit of electric current is ampere.
Electric Potential
Electric Potential is defined as the amount of work done when a unit positive charge is moved from infinity to a point in an electric field. Electric potential v is equal to work done by charge mode. The SI unit of electric potential is volt ( V ).
Electric Potential Difference
Electric Potential Difference is defined as the work done per unit charge in moving a unit positive charge from one point to other point.
Electric circuit
A closed and continuous path through which electric current flows is known as electric circuit.
Resistance
resistance is the property of a conductor due to which it opposes the flow of electric current through it. Mathematician resistance are is equal to potential difference by electric current. The SI unit of resistance is own.
Resistivity
Resistivity of a Conductor is defined as the resistance of a conductor of unit length and unit area of cross section. The SI unit of resistivity is Om meter.
Heating Effects of Current
when an electric current is passed through a high resistance wire like nichrome wire then the wire because very hot and produces heat. This is called the heating effect of current.
Electric Power
electric power is defined as the amount of electric energy consumed in a circuit for unit time. Electric power unit of electric power is watt(W).
